💡 The Areas of Interest or AOI are rectangular zones inside your artwork with critical elements inside them. By defining these areas, you get back useful statistics related to them. Therefore, designers are able to quantify the Attentions Map's results and eliminate rough assumptions.
If the result is a green box, that means that your AOI is X% above average attention, whereas if the result is a red box that means that your AOI is Y% below average attention of your design.
For example:
- A result of 0% means that the area has exactly the average attention
- A green box displaying 134% means the attention inside this area is (1+1.34 times = 2.34 times) the average attention of the whole design.
- A red box displaying -40% means the attention inside this area is (1-0.4 times = 0.6 times) below the average attention of the whole design.
Note: The red box can only reach -100%.

Usage
- If you want to define Areas of Interest, draw rectangles named "AOI".
- Select an Artboard that contains your artwork.
- Go to Plugins > VisualEyes > 🔥 Run plugin
- Your Attention Heatmap will be generated as a separate transparent layer above your artwork. If you have defined Areas of Interest you will have some colored rectangles also in your Heatmap like the example below.
