After Monster and I landed on Mars, our stomachs rumbled with hunger.
"How about omelets for today’s snack?"
But—there were no ingredients.
So I said, "You know… doesn’t the moon look a little bit like an egg?"
Monster’s eyes sparkled. "Let’s give it a try!"
I drew a frying pan, Monster prepared the fire.
Together, we floated close to the moon— knock knock
Crack!
Out oozed a thick, golden egg yolk.
"Wow… It really was an egg…"
We poured it right into the frying pan—sizzle sizzle! And the two of us feasted on fluffy, moon-cooked omelets.
Munch munch… "Yep… The moon tastes special…"
But back on Earth, meanwhile—
"The moon is gone!!! 😱" "The night sky feels so lonely~~!!" "The wolves can’t even howl~~!! 🐺"
I took out my magic crayon, and quietly drew a new moon in the sky.
It was just a bit too round, and if you looked closely… you could see the yellow yolk peeking out.
Everyone on Earth: "Hey… doesn’t tonight’s moon look… kind of delicious?"
