Cranmore Meadows is a fully legal community for full-time living in tiny houses on wheels located on a 30-acre nature preserve about 17 miles west of Carrboro, NC on Highway 54 near the towns of Graham & Saxapahaw. We're under active development to provide 13 spots for permanent living in tiny houses among rolling hills, open meadows, hardwood forest, a spring-fed pond, a working farm, and Haw Creek.

The first phase (September 2021) will permit spots for the first 7 homes, with full hookups for water, septic, power, and 2 parking spots. The lots are 8,000SF (about 1/5 acre) each. Residents can access common areas such as an outdoor pavilion for events, as well as catering kitchen and guest quarters. The second phase (spring 2023) will have room for 6 more.

UPDATE: we have leased all 7 spots for phase 1

Our vision is a pocket neighborhood community of 13 spots for permanent living in tiny houses on wheels and 20+ acres of nature for a wildlife preserve and permaculture farming. We've also renovated an existing barn to serve as a community event space to serve our residents and guests for larger gatherings.

Cranmore Meadows is a community that puts people and planet first and serves as an example of what a more sustainable and interconnected future could look like. We accomplish this by providing affordable tiny housing, alternative green building and other sustainability workshops, community gatherings focused on connecting with the land and each other, and farming practices that enhance ecosystem processes on our land. Every decision we make is guided by putting the health of our land and its inhabitants above all else.
