Pulse ox operation: Turn on the device, insert a warm finger, breathe normally (pulse ox goes down if you hold your breath), wait for reading. 95-100 are normal range, 97-100 are typical. <95, send home unless they say they have asthma, COPD, etc, and x is their normal.
