Markee Cooperative Covenant

The Binding Social Contract of the Markee Network

Ratified February 20, 2026 by the Markee Council Safe

Preamble

The Markee Cooperative exists to nurture a thriving planet by funding the world's most valuable organizations, one message at a time. We believe that when communities own the digital infrastructure they rely on, they make better decisions, share in the value they create, and build toward a more equitable and open internet.

This Covenant is the binding social contract of the Markee Cooperative. It governs how the Cooperative is organized, how decisions are made, and what obligations all participants share. It is published transparently on IPFS and is enforced through the governance mechanisms of the Gardens community where collective decision-making for the Markee Network lives.

Owning MARKEE tokens makes you an Owner of the Markee Network and binds you to the rights and responsibilities described herein. Participating in governance on Gardens constitutes acceptance of this Covenant in full.

Article I: Definitions

The following terms carry specific meaning throughout this Covenant:

Markee Network: The Markee platform and all of its assets, including but not limited to: smart contracts, domains, hosting infrastructure, logos, brand assets, data, intellectual property, and treasury assets. The Markee Network is collectively owned by MARKEE token holders.

Markee Cooperative: The collective of Owners of the Markee Network, organized under this Covenant and operating through the governance mechanisms described herein.

Owner: Any individual or entity holding one or more MARKEE tokens. Ownership is acquired by purchasing MARKEE tokens from the RevNet (directly or through Markee Network smart contracts linked to the RevNet) or by receiving MARKEE tokens from the Community Reserve. Ownership is transferable and coextensive with token holdings - acquiring tokens makes one an Owner; disposing of all tokens ends one's status as an Owner.

MARKEE Token: The native governance and ownership token of the Markee Network, issued through RevNet smart contracts. The token's issuance rules and RevNet terms are immutable. The full terms are available at:

Community Reserve: The portion of MARKEE tokens allocated by the RevNet to be directed by the Council Safe to beneficiaries who advance the Purpose, Mission, and Values of the Markee Network.

Council Safe: The multisignature wallet serving as the representative board of the Markee Cooperative, as defined in Article VI.

Network Platform: A website or digital application that has chosen to incorporate Markee messages into its digital spaces, enabling the distribution of the Markee Network across many platforms. Network Platforms may be granted ownership through MARKEE allocations from the Community Reserve.

Covenant: This document, which serves as the binding social contract of the Markee Cooperative. The canonical version is published on IPFS.
