This Course Handbook includes all resources used and referred to in the bootcamp. It also includes some extra resources about adjacent topics that didn’t make it into the course. i

Software you will need

• Python – the primary language we will use in this course
• Docker Desktop – run local containers for Kafka, Spark, Flink, Postgres, etc.
• Java – JVM runtime required by Kafka, Spark, and Flink.

I suggest using macOS or Linux, but you can also try using WSL 2 on Windows.
