What we're looking for
As a copywriter at a small studio, you will be responsible for bringing our voice to life through the brands & products we serve. At a small studio, we value identity above all else and see the copywriter as the expert; able to codify the identity and vision into a consistent, impactful message that our clients identify with time and time again. Reporting to our Principal, you will be required to listen to, learn from, research, and empathize with the brands & products you are developing to establish a voice & strengthen the impact of reach. As the first copywriter to join our team full-time, you will have the unique responsibility of refining a small studio’s voice and creative process.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a talent for conceptualizing and writing copy that is authentically provoking, strategic, and supports project goals
- Possess a flare for language, a passion for the written word, and the desire to learn and grow
- Partner with team and clients to generate ideas and produce compelling copy that is aligned with the proposed design
- Collaborate with various disciplines like branding, product, technology, marketing, and business teams
- Demonstrate ability to write for multiple channels (print, digital, social, brand, technical, etc)
Work with multiple projects at once
- Demonstrate curiosity through consistent creative engagement
- Have proven experience writing content in a professional setting (agency and/or in-house experience preferred)
Responsibilities
- Manage the research, planning and creation of content on a multitude of channels (E.g., website copy, product marketing, case studies, social media, documentation, blog content, etc.)
- Create content that has a compelling narrative and story flow, pulls through behavioral and strategic insights, and fulfills strategic plans provided by clients and project leadership teams
- Promote creativity by conceptualizing and brainstorming innovative brand experiences
- Present work confidently, provide copy rationale, and defend work in creative reviews
- Give and receive feedback constructively and thoughtfully
- Research, analyze, and interpret data from approved resources
- Perform proofing/editing on all copy, paying strict attention to details of the combined product of copy and design
- Maintain and enforce a consistent brand voice across all forms of media.
