Instructor: Mr. Jamison

Find your inner chef in this cooking Discovery Project. In addition to cooking (and eating) every day, we will learn some of the basics of cooking like food safety, knife skills, as well as numerous cook-off challenges. We will look at eating as a social act, building community and bridging divides. We will read and watch videos, have guest speakers and visitors, and volunteer at the East Mountain Food Pantry.

<aside> ⚠️ If you have food allergies and/or cannot be around sharp objects or heat, this discovery is probably not a good fit for you. You should be willing to learn about cooking and cooking techniques, recipe formulation and implementation, and a willingness to try new foods and work with fellow students.
