Step 1 – Save everything to the cloud

Save all your information – e.g. files, folders i.e. all data – to the cloud (or to a USB stick / USB drive if non-work related). Including:

  1. Ensure that Outlook and Dropbox are fully synced.
  2. If you use OneDrive for further Microsoft services (e.g. OneNote), please ensure that is synced also. Instructions here for OneNote.
  3. Your browser settings and bookmarks will transfer automatically if you sign into your web browser with an account (e.g. Google account on Chrome browser). If you don’t use an account, you can transfer things manually, for example bookmarks on Chrome and bookmarks on Firefox.

Please note that you will also need to set up any Windows customisations, e.g. wallpaper, screensaver, shortcuts etc which you use, in your new account – these won’t transfer over.


Step 2 – Connect to the domain
