Job Description.

As Senior Community & Content Manager at Polkaswap Community Collective (PoCoCo), you will be leading the strategy and execution of community growth and engagement of Polkaswap and Sora in collaboration with the marketing and community lead at Soramitsu. You will be responsible for identifying what content would be most effective to grow the community and implement it, whether it’s creating the content yourself or collaborating with other members of the team or community contributors.  Your understanding of crypto culture, memetics and meme creation will be important. An ability to weave an idea into the minds of both people new to the space, TradFi and to have enough nuance to appeal to DeFi crypto natives. This is a full-time international position, that although working for different time zones, will need prompt messaging and the ability to attend meetings at odd hours.

What You Will Do.

• Collective Influence: Be responsible for PoCoCo’s meme strategy and release calendar, use your social media skills to influence those users in crypto DeFi, retail, and beyond, bringing them into the fold. Design, launch, execute and optimize new community initiatives such as bounty programs, meme contests, working groups and meetups.
• Collective Knowledge: Your deep understanding of the blockchain space will help convey our message of truth to those ready to hear it. Knowing trends will be key to forming narratives that will be branded into the minds of those who are exposed to them, enthralling readers and generating inspiration. Create community guidelines and reinforce them while knowing talent enough to recruit and manage other community moderators
• Collective Growth: PoCoCo runs on meta fumes and takes inspiration from deep crypto insider content that ingrains itself in the minds of those who see it. We would like someone that can take this then design and package it to a TradFi audience. We want long form content to cater to both blockchain enthusiasts and DeFi Degens but also to support Polkaswap’s growth, becoming a well known name in the community and bringing in developers. Improve community engagement while inspiring meaningful intelligent community discussions, growing the size of the community and absorbing members from Polkswap/Sora adjacent communities
• Collective Strength: Create a cohesive strategy, both long term and short term, that plays to the strengths of PoCoCo and the tools you have at your disposal across various marketing channels (e.g. Twitter, Email, Discord, Telegram) as well Polkaswap/Sora’s event presence. Assess the effects of these strategies, adjust them as needed, and report on their progress
• Collective Truth: Verifying the plans have succeeded in their designed goal and have heightened people’s appreciation for Polkaswap through the consistent delivery of quality and well-thought-out content across all of our channels.Own the content strategy, whether you are creating the content yourself or repackaging the content from other collective team members.

Required Skills.

• Takes initiative in the discrimination of content and the managing of the channels
• Previous experience in content creation, growth, and social media management
• Well versed in DeFi and key players in the space
• Transcendent crypto knowledge in all major crypto ecosystems, especially Polkadot
• Meme master that understands the importance of long term plays
• Understanding of TradFi and what appeals to that audience
• An active social media user including Telegram, Tiktok, Twitter, Wechat, Reddit, Clubhouse, and any emerging applications
• Strong English writing, editing, and communication skills
