Commission Splits Agreement (CSA) Process – Direct Groups
This document outlines the step-by-step process for completing and filing a Commission Splits Agreement (CSA) for direct groups. The CSA ensures transparency in commission allocation and proper payment to all team members and entities involved. This process applies to both new groups (post-implementation) and existing groups (at renewal).
1. Confirm Compensation Details with Group Sales
Before beginning the CSA, confirm the commission structure with Group Sales. Use the Case Summary for reference.
Commission Rules by Carrier & Plan Type
- 90 Degree Benefits (MVP plans) → $80 PEPM (Per Employee Per Month)
- 90 Degree Benefits (MEC plans) → % of premium (split on a percentage basis)
- Allstate (All medical plans) → % of premium (split on a percentage basis)
- All fully insured carriers → % of premium (split on a percentage basis)
- All other carriers → $80 PEPM
Special Notes
- If the group is in a chamber or association, with a 90 Degree Benefits Spectrum MVP plan, $6 of the PEPM goes to that entity.
- If not, EMTT retains the $6.
