Final Sketch

Description & Goals:
Our goal with this sketch was to create imagery that captured the fading of memories. Memory can be an ongoing thing that takes on many forms as time passes. In the sketch, the blues merge and fade, ultimately reforming the memory. The photo used is a personal photo from Shloka!
Thoughts and reflections:
We’re happy with the final product. We think it properly captures ann alternate reality, especially in relation to memory. Memory in itself is a form of alternate reality as it is based solely on the past and can only be replicated in the mind. Any future iteration of that memory, be it through story telling, writing, etc, changes the memory. Because of this, there’s always slight changes that can alter the truth or concision of that memory as time passes.
Initial idea for final p5 sketch
Initially we attempted to make a different sketch:
This was our first trial. This was fun because we were able to draw together! A fun collaborative experience.
We created a transparent file for the doodle and added it to the sketch. We wanted the appearing circles to appear as pain blots. Overall, it was nice, but didn’t capture a story the way we intended.
