ARC aims to build a space that allows its community to feel comfortable, seen, and heard. We’re here to cultivate a thriving environment for active participation but to achieve that, we’ll need your help to make it possible. Please adhere to these general principles for your presence in ARC as you observe and interact with fellow members both online and offline.

Our Dos

1. Be Open and Welcoming ****🌏

We want to create a safe, reciprocal space that respects opinions, questions, and people of all forms. When new members join our family, extend a warm welcome to them and make them feel accepted.

2. Give Value To Receive Value 🤝

As a contribution-centric community, we believe that the more value you offer to the community, the more value you will get in return. Start by putting yourself out there, introducing your work, what you do and how you can be of help to fellow Stellars.

3. Stellars Support Stellars ☂️

Proactively reach out and lend support, a listening ear or your expertise to fellow members who ask for help. A close-knitted, supportive environment makes ARC a great place with great vibes for all our members.

4. Respect Others’ Privacy 🔐

What happens in ARC should stay within ARC. Be mindful of others’ privacy so we can ensure that ARC remains a safe, trusted community for all our members.

On our app, we have a strict, ‘No Screenshots’ policy in order to protect the privacy of our members. A record of 5 screenshots will result in a suspension from the app for 48 hours. Repeat violations can and will lead to more serious consequences.

Our Don’ts

1. Don’t Pretend to be Someone You Are Not 🙅🏽

Never impersonate or misrepresent and always speak up from a place of authenticity and provide accurate information about yourself and others.

2. Don’t Cross The Line 🛤️

Having fun is great, but having fun at the expense of others is not. We trust that all Stellars are mature enough to understand and respect fellow members’ boundaries both online and offline.

3. Don’t Create Discord 💢

As the community gets bigger, there will inevitably be friction and differences. Healthy, constructive debates are good, but let’s be mindful and avoid saying things we will regret.

4. Do No Harm ☠️

Members should not use the ARC brand or the community as a platform for any unethical means. Your words and actions can and do affect others so take note that you do not harm any individual member, the ARC brand or the ARC community as a whole with what you say and how you behave.

Violations

If a member is flagged to have violated the Code of Conduct, it could affect your ability to participate in future community initiatives or your membership in ARC altogether.

To ensure all members feel emotionally and physically safe within ARC, the core team at ARC will take the necessary actions upon receiving reports of any violations. This may include speaking to the involved members, moderating content, or temporary suspensions of membership.

In serious cases where multiple breaches of conduct have been tracked or harm was deemed to be sufficiently consequential, your membership can and will be revoked immediately, resulting in:

Reporting

If you believe another person has violated the ARC Code of Conduct, you can report them by navigating to their profile and tapping on the three vertical dots on the top right to select “Get Support”, followed by “Report an issue”. The ARC team will review the incident and reach out accordingly.

What happens when I report a user?

All reports made are confidential. Your identity will never be revealed to the user you are reporting. We seek to be fair, consistent, and responsive in addressing all reported incidents. All reports will be reviewed and investigated, and the need for and type of disciplinary action will be determined on a case by case basis.

If the violation directly targeted you, we may share certain information about the process and resolution with you (e.g. status of investigation, any risk concerns, impacts of the resolution). However, due to privacy reasons, we do not comment on specific action taken against a user. Outcomes such as warnings or suspensions may not be visible to you.

What happens if I have been reported?

When the investigation has concluded, the ARC team will notify you on further action to be taken, if any. If you believe a report has been falsely filed against you, or would like to appeal a decision, contact us at [email protected] with information to support your claim. Any attempt to retaliate against users who participate in reporting or investigation is a violation.
