South Bronx United is a non-profit community organization that uses soccer as a tool for social change while providing academic, legal, and family support to the community’s youth and families.
Clubhouse Café is the only sit-down coffee shop in the area, catering to as many as 100 customers per day. They are also operated by South Bronx United’s Workforce Development Program to provide job training to young people ages 16-24 so they can build necessary skills for the future.
Not many of Clubhouse Café’s customers are aware of the initiative and story behind the café. Therefore, the goal of this project is to create a mobile application that connects the Clubhouse Café community with South Bronx United to foster stronger community connections and encourage more awareness and engagement for South Bronx United.

After much deliberation with the client, we finalized a list of features and their order of priority based on the application’s objective and users. We then split into smaller groups where we can focus on one feature each, with weekly meetings to collaborate and gather feedback from each other.

The primary reason users download this app is that it provides a simple and convenient way to view the café’s ****menu and order online. Therefore, we want our app to have a well-organized menu and an efficient ordering system that improves the customers’ overall experience with getting items at the café.

Online food ordering systems have become very popular, especially platforms such as Doordash and Uber Eats. While we were all very familiar with their ordering systems, we wanted to analyze some smaller chain restaurants as well.
