The Climate Action Data 2.0 (CAD2.0) community plays a crucial and often overlooked role in orchestrating funding and matchmaking to digitally-enable the independent Global Stocktake (DIGS). In one instance, following the COP27 Climate Datathon, the co-facilitators of the Global Stocktake sought assistance in improving the Global Stocktake Information Portal to better support insights on collective progress. The CAD2.0 co-convenors connected Climate Policy Radar (a community member) with the Global Stocktake co-facilitators and helped to secure support from funders like Climateworks Foundation and the Bezos Foundation. Through their orchestration efforts, CAD2.0 enabled the implementation of an advanced information portal, empowering stakeholders with emerging technologies and valuable data for effective climate action.
