Join our small but mighty remote-only team! As one of our first hires, you’ll be given the freedom and tools to achieve Wildgrid’s goal of helping people transition to clean energy. You will be working directly with the Digital Content Manager. This is a great opportunity to have a significant impact on the direction of our social media and give input on general climate communication!
As one of our Climate Communicators, you will be focused on creating genuine content that resonates with Wildgrid’s audience and accurately educates on solar and electrification topics, while utilizing trending audios. You are responsible for researching and scripting videos that resonate with Millennial and Gen Z audiences, as well as can be utilized across all platforms. You’ll help build our content database and create videos that will be used to effectively communicate about solar energy, home electrification, and other sustainable topics. You will be greatly involved with the planning and strategizing of Wildgrid’s Social Media and your input will be used to determine video ideas and posting cadences.
You will be part of a cohort of multiple Climate Communicators! We're looking to hire 3-5 communicators to meet regularly & work together on content creation.
$15/hour. Part-time, up to 10 hours per week.
This is an 3 month contract, with the possibility of extension.
This position is fully remote, you can be located anywhere in the US. Residents in New York state are preferred (for in-person events).
