Civic Infrastructure: what is it, and why do we need it now? How do we design and create it? Do we need to expand our understanding and definitions of what it is?

This is the central hub for the Civic Infrastructure workshop, which took place on 20 July, 2021 13:00-15:30 BST. It contains information compiled prior to the event (e.g. speaker bios) and will contain resources created during and after the event, including video recordings.

If you use Twitter, we've set up a list of the speakers, hosts, facilitators etc here.

Hosted by The National Lottery Community Fund and Greater London Authority, this workshop explores how and why civic infrastructure supports communities to thrive.

Kicking off with a series of provocations, we'll work together to unpack what we mean by the term ‘civic infrastructure’. We’ll look at what it can contribute to communities and its significance during particularly turbulent times. We’ll discuss how we can design and build the civic infrastructure we need to work together towards the better futures we’re imagining.
