Principles

ElectroMinds is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people. We recognise that their safety and wellbeing are paramount. We aim to create a safe, supportive environment by following all relevant child protection legislation and established best practices.

Risk Assessment

A risk assessment has been conducted to identify potential harm to children that may arise during the delivery of our services. Identified risks include inappropriate behaviour by staff or volunteers and inadequate supervision during activities.

Measures to Reduce Risks

To address these risks, ElectroMinds ensures that all staff and volunteers who work with children are Garda vetted. A designated Child Safeguarding Officer (CSO) is appointed to oversee the implementation of safeguarding practices. Appropriate adult-to-child supervision ratios are maintained, and all activities are conducted under clearly defined codes of conduct. A formal reporting procedure is in place for any concerns. Participation in programmes requires prior parental or guardian consent.
