Taktile is a technology company building cloud-native software that underpins the financial products of the future. Taktile exists to create value for organizations through smarter and safer decisions at scale. Our goal is to become the world's leading software provider for automated decision-making in the financial services industry and, to date, our software has been used by our customers to power over 15 million credit decisions.
Taktile is based in Berlin and New York City. It was founded by machine learning and data science veterans with extensive experience building and running production ML in financial services. Our team consists of engineers, entrepreneurs, and researchers with a diverse set of backgrounds. Some of us attended top universities such as Harvard, Oxford, and ETH Zurich and some of us have no degree at all. We have accumulated extensive work experience at leading tech companies, startups, and the enterprise software sphere. Our backers include Y Combinator, Index Ventures, firstminute Capital, and stellar angels such as the founders of Looker, GitHub, Mulesoft, Datadog and UiPath.
What You'll Do
- Take responsibility to shape the culture and way we work at Taktile and ensure high-value alignment among all employees.
- Create a highly performant organization characterized by a hybrid work setup, which ensures both onsite and remote work practices are highly productive.
- Work in a data-driven way to measure employee satisfaction, design initiatives to increase it, and take full ownership of all related events.
- Work with founders and C-Level to systematically evolve Taktile's operating model (i.e. organizational setup) to allow for performant scaling of the organization.
- Develop role schemas (incl. salary bands), promotion, and employee development plans.
- Take ownership of strategic workforce planning, steering, and Taktile's OKR processes.
- Design, implement and execute best-in-class sourcing/hiring processes, which ensure a constant inflow of high-profile candidates at high conversion rates.
- Actively manage finance (e.g. payroll, expenses, taxes) and employee benefits.
- Create a powerful employer brand that resonates with candidates and actively manage it on the right platforms (e.g. StepStone).
- Design powerful people processes across the entire employee lifecycle (from visa processes over onboarding to off-boarding) and implement all necessary IT systems (e.g. Personio).
- Recover personnel costs under the ProFIT funding program.
- In the medium term, build up a highly performant people organization.
Ideal but not required
- You have a broad interest in people and ops topics, and you’re able to quickly delve into new situations and questions.
- You are highly empathetic, deeply care about others, and excel at forming trust-based relationships.
- You are used to working very independently and conceptually, with strong focus and high self-initiative.
