🔧 The Position

• We are looking for a Head of Risk to help us become the leading lending company to under and unbanked women in Latin America. The Head of Risk will be tasked with developing and implementing a risk management framework, including building the first version of our credit model, measuring and analyzing datasets, and monitoring Jefa's quality control activities. The ideal candidate would be a strategic and imaginative thinker, a confident decision maker and communicator, and a credit expert with deep insight on risk in LatAm.

🤸‍♀️ What You'll Do

• Provide the overall leadership, vision, and direction for Jefa's risk management policies.
• Design and build the first versions of Jefa's credit model, taking into consideration 'non-traditional' scoring factors such as community and behavioral data.
• Leverage external (e.g. banking data, credit bureau data, financial data) and internal performance data to come up with insights to develop best in class credit policies (e.g. underwriting, credit limit increase programs, risk management)
• Optimize our risk thresholds, policies and strategy to expand Jefa access and eligibility criteria of our credit products, while developing testable credit hypotheses
• Continually iterate on our credit model, testing new versions with every new cohort.
• Partner with finance team to create and maintain risk adjusted returns framework, including loss forecasting.
• Stay on top of market trends and developments. Implement risk metric monitoring by researching/resolving risk events and developing levers that mitigate risk factors.
• Enhance and enrich Jefa's data-driven culture.
