Hi everyone, I'm Chester, a digital designer and marketing manager with passions and specialities in branding, UI design, social media content and marketing - and I'd love to join the team!
I am the Creative Director of a retail company with physical store locations and a growing eCommerce presence. I have been a creative person all my life, having always been a fan of drawing and art classes, and have always been very interested in the internet and technology. As such, in college I majored in computer science and studio art. While I have programming education I do not consider myself a developer - my interests and passions lie with visuals. Despite this, I have decent working knowledge of the software development process and have worked with developers for years, and am comfortable working in such an environment. I have already successfully handed off UI designs to core team developers and am continuing to do so with other UI projects.
On a personal level, I am relatively new to crypto as a whole and have a lot to learn, and am very grateful towards all the community members and core team members who have answered my myriad questions with such politeness 🙂 I enjoy work that challenges me and pushes my boundaries, and as I've spent more time in this community and the crypto space in the world I have fallen in love with the community spirit, team camaraderie, and the exciting potential that the brilliant minds working on this project are making more real with every passing day. I am passionate about SUSHI's vision and am very dedicated with the limited time I'm currently afforded to contributing. It would be a great honor and a tremendously positive change in my personal life to be able to dedicate my time and creative energy solely to a project I deeply care about.
I have been volunteering and contributing design work on a contract basis for SUSHI since late September, providing UI designs, marketing plans, brand development, translation, and miscellaneous graphic requests.
I developed UI designs for BentoBox (play with the Figma prototype here) and am currently working on a UI for a SUSHI plugin for third parties to drop into their systems (check it out here).

I co-authored a marketing plan proposal with Miya (which we also discussed in more detail on an episode of The Sushi Forum), as well as did some preliminary community surveying and crafted a few branding concepts for community input.

While those didn't quite come into fruition, I've since worked closely with Kastrye supporting his development of a visual identity, created various graphics for our social media and Medium accounts, as well as some miscellaneous graphic requests from the Yearn team. As a side project, I also aided LevX with a Spanish translation of the Lite UI.
