Plation Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Chess Now AI mobile application (the "App"). We adhere to a strict "Local-First" privacy model, ensuring your matches and strategies remain private.
1. Information Collection and Usage
- No Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).
- Local AI Processing: The artificial intelligence logic used for your opponent runs entirely on your device. No move data or game patterns are sent to external servers for processing.
- AirPlay Connectivity: The App utilizes Apple’s AirPlay technology to display the board on compatible televisions or monitors. This connection is managed by your system software; Plation Inc. does not monitor or receive any data from your AirPlay stream.
2. Data Storage and Processing
- On-Device Only: All game states, move history, and difficulty settings are stored locally on your hardware.
- No Cloud Sync: Your game history is never uploaded to the cloud or shared with third parties.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
- Deleting the App will permanently remove your local match history. We cannot recover this data as we do not host it.

This Agreement is between you and Plation Inc. for the use of Chess Now AI.
1. License Grant Plation Inc. grants you a limited, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment and skill development.
2. Nature of the App
- AI Opponent: The App provides a digital chess engine for solo play. While designed to be challenging, Plation Inc. does not warrant that the AI will perform at specific ELO ratings or be free from occasional logic anomalies.
- AirPlay & Hardware Safety: Users may interact with their device while casting to a larger display. You acknowledge responsibility for the physical safety of your device and the display hardware.
