Advancements in Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) are highly likely to continue growing exponentially. There are debates surrounding whether Large Language Models (LLMs) will continue to lead the GenAI revolution, with many pointing out inherent technical limitations arising from the fundamental architecture of such solutions.
Regardless, it is undeniable that LLMs are how many of us interface with our devices, and by extension, how we interface with the world. It has changed human behavior considerably, similar to how Search Engines have shaped the world today.
Thus, designing for these platforms means designing for a significant portion of the human population. It requires both the complexity of technical understanding; and the art of simplifying these complexities into something that everyone can extract value out of.
With these overarching themes in mind, I have redesigned ChatGPT, the world’s leading LLM based on Daily Active Users (DAUs) and Query Count.

The 3 largest LLMs following ChatGPT are:
The Chat Interface is the page users interact with the most. Therefore, this page will be the focus of our case study. Taking a look at this page across all 4 platforms, we can extract the fundamental 3 features that distinctly identifies this page:
