I found this useful but you probably will not - this is a very general view into digital skills in the UK’s charity sector. I used a couple of questions from here in my survey.
- Charities have less skills to engage with emerging tech than core digital skills (56%), small charities = 60%, and new-to-digital charities 65%
- Larger charities see greater priority in AI, but still only 34%
- 61% use AI toold in their day-to-day operations - of this 45% is informal
- The more digitally-developed a charity is, the more they will use AI
- Looks like LLMs are the main use, not much predictive AI being used
- Supporting others with AI and influencing change: 9% of charities are currently supporting others to understand, critically engage with or use AI tools, whilst 5% are influencing the responsible and ethical development of AI technology and 4% are supporting people and communities who are negatively affected by AI technology (345 participants)

- Only 10% don’t trust AI companies!
- But 31% see ethical/Human rights/environmental concerns
