Distinctions

Create 3 Distinctions that make up your character's history, current life and future plans in Night City (see Distinctions, p. 50 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook)

Make them edgy, obtainable or even gonzo if that's your jam. These are 'WHAT MAKES YOU UNIQUE?', 'WHAT YOU'RE KNOWN FOR?' and 'HOW YOU WANT TO BECOME A LEGEND?'. Just remember, only the best go down in history; the bigger the bang, the bigger the glory

Attributes

Distribute the following dice as follow: D8, D8, D8, D6, D6. You may step down an Attribute in order to step up another once (see Stepping up/down a trait, p. 9 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook).

Roles

Distribute the following dice as follow: D10, D8, D6, D6, D4 (see Roles, p. 9 & 58 respectively of Cortex Prime Game Handbook)

Cyber Implants/Specialties

Spend 5 points to create Cyber Implants (see Signature Assets, p. 64-65 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook) or Specialties (see Specialties, p. 59 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook) in your attributes or Roles abiding by the following rules:

(For more info on spending points, see Stage 5 of Scratch-Built Character Creation on p. 70 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook)

Street Cred

You're nothing if not for your reputation. There are several factions inside Night City they call home. Start with Night City Cred D6 (see Reputations, p. 55 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook) along with a Trait Statement on said Reputation (see Trait Statements, p. 65 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook. If you so choose, you may instead create a D8 Reputation with another faction in Night City, along with its Trait Statement.

OverClocking

Start every session with 4D8 dice. These are spent just like Hero Dice (see Hero Dice, p. 30-31 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook) but are not gained with Heroic Successes. Once they are gone, you cannot replenish them until the next session. These dice can take the shape of whatever your character needs to continue in the scene, even when it all seems lost (e.g. pill, drug, injection, drink, etc.)

Stress

CyberPrime 2077 will use the Mod of Stress (Physical and Mental) to keep track of harm throughout the adventure (see Stress, p. 39-40 of Cortex Prime Game Handbook).
