If there were forces that cursed him, there were also forces that moved to protect him. Glunn's body was engraved with a curse that reversed his physical age and a spell that suppressed it.

Once a month, for five days, came a period when the curse was lifted and he could return to his original body. That was why he had followed Ennid willingly, even though he suspected the invitation to be a trap. He decided to wait and see if Ennid would come to kill him while he slept tonight.

After putting Glunn to bed, Ennid went downstairs to continue his research.

‘Since I actually met the child I saw in the mirror, the spell to see the future definitely worked...’

If that’s the case, what needs to be changed is the formula for the spell determining the marriage partner. That part must have been wrong. Ennid organized his thoughts and unfolded the parchment paper newly bought from the village. He dipped his pen in ink and drew the spell formula on the paper.

Then, he refined the newly restocked ingredients for the potion, mixed them, and extracted the essence with mana into vials.

“It should work this time.”

He placed each vial on the paper covered with formulas. He stretched out his hand and directed mana into it, and the spell circle peeled off the paper and floated into the air. The glowing letters and shapes were absorbed into the vials and disappeared.

Ennid completed the potion in an instant. The process was so smooth that anyone watching might have mistaken alchemy for an easy task. However, if someone from the same industry had seen it, they would have been left speechless.

Generally, alchemists used parchment paper and ink specially made by the association when creating potions. They relied on the power of the tools. Without them, they would drain too much mana and become exhausted.

However, the parchment paper and ink Ennid used were ordinary items used by the general public. If Glunn had seen it, he would have immediately recognized Ennid's skill, but unfortunately, he was in the third-floor bedroom.

‘I did change the formula a little, but... I don't know what will appear this time.’

Ennid poured the potion on his hand and placed it on the mirror. The surface of the mirror rippled, just as it had during the day. But what was reflected in the mirror was not the marriage partner he had hoped for. It wasn't even a person.

“A dragon...? No... Is it a drawing of a dragon?”

Reflected in the mirror was an image of a black dragon. At first it was a muscular man, followed by an 8-year-old child. Now, on top of that, a drawing of a dragon that was known to be extinct. At this point, even Ennid had no idea what potion he was making.

‘If I can't even make one of this... All the geniuses in the world must have frozen to death.’

Unaware that he had already completed the potion earlier that day, Ennid looked at the dragon in the mirror with an annoyed expression. It was then that his indifferent gaze turned to one of puzzlement.
