Naturally, Diablo reacted instantly. In a flash, he assumed a combat stance to confront Vega.

Zegion did the same. No matter how much damage he had sustained, Zegion was someone who could continue fighting. However, Zegion had yet to fully assimilate the ability he inherited from Zelanus. He was still in the middle of integrating it.

Vega had anticipated this, Zegion wasn’t just not at full power; his condition was so bad that it wouldn't have been surprising if he collapsed at any moment.

Even more than that, the backlash from using Void Collapse had been so intense that it was a mystery how he was even standing. The fact that he didn’t let it show, that was the terrifying strength of Zegion.

Dino and the others reacted a moment later, but they were already struggling against two of the Evil Dragon Beasts. It was obvious they wouldn’t be able to handle Vega on top of that. They had completely let their guard down——or rather, Vega had once been their comrade, so they hadn’t expected him to target them.
