This Privacy Policy describes how the Chakra iOS app ("Chakra," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the app. Chakra is built by Jenil Kansara as an independent developer.

We designed Chakra to be private by default. The app has no user accounts, no servers, and no analytics. All of your data stays on your iPhone.

1. Information we access

1.1 Apple Health data

With your explicit permission, Chakra reads the following data from Apple Health (HealthKit) to build your training plan and show your progress:

• Cycling workouts (start time, duration, distance, calories)
• Heart rate samples associated with cycling workouts
• Cycling power, cadence, and speed samples (where available)
• Workout route data (only if you grant location access)

Chakra reads only cycling workouts from the last six months on first launch, and then reads newly added cycling workouts as they appear in Health.

Chakra does not write any data to Apple Health.

You can review or revoke Chakra's access to Health data at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Chakra.

1.2 Information stored on your device

Chakra stores the following locally on your iPhone, using Apple's standard on-device storage (SwiftData / UserDefaults):

• Your selected goal ride or race
• Your training plan settings and progress
• Cached summaries of your cycling workouts (computed from HealthKit data)
• Your app preferences (units, notifications, etc.)

This information never leaves your device.
