This Privacy Policy describes how Chakra ("Chakra," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our iOS application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Chakra you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Chakra collects only the data needed to operate the Service.

1.1 Information from Strava

When you connect your Strava account, Chakra accesses the following data via the Strava API under the read and activity:read_all scopes:

• Your Strava athlete ID, first name, last name, profile photo URL, default unit preference (imperial / metric)
• Cycling activities only (sport types: Ride, VirtualRide, MountainBikeRide, GravelRide, EBikeRide, Handcycle), including: activity name, start time, distance, elevation gain, moving time, average speed, average heart rate (when present), average power (when present), sport type
• Webhook events (activity create / update / delete; athlete deauthorization)

We do not access activities of other users, public segments, leaderboards, or any data outside your own cycling activities.

1.2 Information you enter in the app

• Goal information: goal type (race, ride endurance, get faster), target distance, target climbing, target date, focus, duration
• Race or event details you create (name, date, distance, elevation, location, notes, intensity)
• Training personalization inputs: terrain preference (flat / rolling / hilly), self-reported ability level (beginner / intermediate / advanced), preferred ride days of the week, hardest ride day, optional add-on interests (strength training, stretching, nutrition, sleep & recovery)
• Optional profile data: first name, height, weight, age, biological sex (used to compute personalized nutrition targets and greet you in the app)
• Notification preferences and unit preference

All of the data in this section is stored only on your device (in UserDefaults and the app's Documents directory). None of it is uploaded to the Chakra backend or shared with any third party.

1.3 Device data

• Approximate location (city / county granularity) — only used to fetch local weather forecasts. Location is requested once per session and used only on-device + sent to the U.S. National Weather Service. We do not log, store, or share your coordinates on our servers.
