Film Artist
Jesed is an experimental filmmaker whose practice centers on cinematic photography, a form he has developed through stillness, durational framing, and long takes, where photographic perception and moving images converge within experimental and expanded cinematic approaches. Working across experimental film and expanded cinema, he investigates how images unfold beyond the frame; becoming temporal, immersive, and embodied experiences that challenge conventional notions of cinema.
Drawing from personal narratives, his work engages questions of identity, spirituality, speculative ontologies, ecocide, mysticism, and ego dissolution. Through moving images, he examines alternative ways of seeing and relating to the world, shifting attention beyond human-centered perspectives toward the agencies of spirits, ecological systems, and other non-human entities. His practice is concerned with how images can mediate memory, belief, and altered states of perception, opening spaces where the visible and invisible, material and immaterial, intersect.
Jesed is a member of Collectif Jeune Cinéma, a France-based artist-run cooperative dedicated to the distribution of experimental and avant-garde cinema. He has presented his work at the Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris and Zukunft_OL+50.
His experimental films Gubatnon, Synthetic Forest, and We All Disappear Slowly are part of the permanent collection of Collectif Jeune Cinéma, with Synthetic Forest also held by the Museum of Contemporary Art Bogotá.
