For the last 200 years, people have never been more isolated. The American Dream glamorized the status behind owning property + land, but came at the ultimate cost: community. Neighborhoods and apartments were just simply not designed for connection.
However, there is one place where community is perfect: college. We have close friends, acquaintances, and the magical serendipity of meeting someone new at the same stage of life. It isn't a surprise that we look back on our days here and miss it. As humans, we want to connect and belong with those similar to us.
