Important Components of Presentation
- Cardiac history, including, stents/surgeries, past CADs, on any AC or antiplatelets at home
- Presented with typical, atypical, noncardiac symptoms
- Whether received AC/antiplatelets/heparin prior to arrival
- Have in print: EKG on arrival and any other EKG that shows any evolving changes
- Initial trop, trop peak value
- Did symptom ever go away
- Events overnight
Morning
- Rounds start at 7:30 am
- Huddle at 10:30 am
- Get EKG for new patients overnight
- Review telemetry for any patients with irregular rhythm
TAVR
- Once they are on the floor, see them and write quick H&P
- Restart home medications
- Make sure you look at their access site in the morning
- Look at tele every morning while they are here. Look for arrythmias and any new BBB or heart block
- EKG and TTE morning of POD1. This should be already scheduled by the fellow
