Part-time Job Discovery App for International Students in Japan

Project Overview:

Campus Jobs is a mobile app concept designed to help international students in Japan find part-time jobs more easily. The focus of the project was to simplify job discovery and application flows while addressing common pain points such as language barriers, unclear job information, and limited student availability.

Problem

International students in Japan often struggle to find suitable part-time jobs. Job information is spread across multiple platforms, making discovery slow and inefficient. Many listings are written only in Japanese, creating additional friction for non-native speakers. On top of that, application processes are often long and unclear, leading to confusion, wasted time, and missed opportunities.

Goal

Design a mobile-first job discovery and application experience that:

• Is easy to understand for international students
• Allows quick browsing and filtering of job opportunities
• Keeps the application process short and low-friction

Target Users

• International students living in Japan
• Students looking for flexible part-time work (cafés, restaurants, retail, convenience stores, etc.)
• Users who value clear interfaces and minimal steps
