I created this campaign to drive an increase in money transfers while giving users something more thoughtful than the usual discounts. The goal was simple: show users we genuinely care about their experience living abroad - not just their transactions.
The Summer Starter Pack became a way to encourage sign-ups, boost transfers, and deepen user connection, all through a culturally relevant, feel-good incentive. Every item was intentionally selected with Nigerians living in the UK in mind.
🎨 My Role
I led the campaign from start to finish, overseeing strategy, execution, and performance. This included:
- Campaign strategy and creative direction.
- All copywriting (landing page, email sequences, ads, social content).
- Leveraged Influencer partnership with The Honest Bunch Podcast.
- Selecting the gift company and managing fulfilment logistics.
- Performance analysis and ongoing optimization.
⚠️ Challenges
- Gift Sourcing & Logistics
Finding a UK-based vendor who could deliver quality gift boxes at scale,
while staying within budget and meeting tight production timelines.
- Fulfillment Coordination
Managing address collection from 90+ winners across different months,
coordinating with the vendor on shipping, and tracking delivery confirmation — all while running day-to-day marketing operations.
💡 Strategy & Execution
Phase 1: Planning & Setup (Weeks 1-2)
- Conceptualised campaign and pitched to leadership
- Researched and selected UK gift vendors
- Negotiated influencer partnerships, including The Honest Bunch Podcast
- Wrote all campaign copy: landing page, email sequences, ads, social content, Push notifications, influencer scripts
- Collaborated with the designer on Summer Box branding and packaging
- Coordinated invoicing and production kickoff
Phase 2: Launch & Management (Campaign Period)
- Executed synchronized launch across email, social, in-app, and influencer channels
- Monitored real-time performance: conversions, engagement, transfer volume
- Selected monthly winners and managed end-to-end fulfillment (address collection, vendor coordination, delivery tracking)
- Identified opportunity for added impact: sent surprise boxes to "Verified but dormant" user segment
Phase 3: Post-Campaign (Ongoing)
- Analyzed performance metrics across channels
- Followed up on all gift deliveries to ensure a positive user experience
- Documented learnings for future campaign optimization
