There are two parts to this guide, the instructor workflow and the student workflow.

Instructor steps for Panopto

[ ] Login to the podium PC.
[ ] Open Panopto from the Desktop. Login as prompted.
- [ ] Select your course [assignment] folder using the drop-down menu. You may find that your course folder is hidden under D2L Courses.

[ ] After establishing a course assignment folder for your class, verify that you are recording video (1), audio with audio meter levels present (2), ultra quality (3), and screen (4)

Operating the Podium from the Touch Screen

[ ] Unlock the podium touch screen and operate it as per the fleXlab user guide steps
[ ] When students give their presentations, switch to Presenter view**.** This is how they must start / stop their presentations.
[ ] Pro-tip: check that the presenter is framed up in the Camera Preview block (show in red in the demo above). If they are not in frame, you can tap ‘Reset Camera’ the camera Angle from the ‘Stream’ tab
[ ] Important, after a presenter ends their presentation and enters a file name, they (or you) must put Panopto into a ready state by clicking this tab (1). This step is critical as Panopto will not record without being in this mode.

[ ] Advanced: Modify any of these optional KHE 323A settings in the Presenter View
- [ ] Optional: to project to the wall,
- [ ] Optional: manually define a static camera angle from the “Stream” tab (if you don’t do this, the camera will follow the presenter with a “heads to toes” shot).

In the event of any projection glitches, timeouts, etc... you can quickly (<15 sec) refresh to the podium defaults by tapping the following:
