Cheek Media is a social-first independent news commentary platform that provides progressive perspectives on political and cultural conversations, reaching four million Australians every month.
With an Instagram following of more than 230,000 and a Substack that is read 300,000 times every month - we know our audience are switched-on, passionate and hungry for more. The community we’re building have an appetite for accessible commentary that responds to the failures of legacy media. The news cycle is tough, and Cheek offers people a space to express themselves, stay up to date, access resources, find their voice, have a laugh, and disagree.
We are a small but mighty team of two full-time employees, with two incredible contractors who help us one day each week. In order to build our offering and reach more people, we want to strengthen and increase our partnership opportunities to move Cheek into the next stage of growth.
This is where you come in.
We’re looking for a values-aligned and commercially-minded partnerships manager to help Cheek evolve. You’ll be the person growing revenue through branded content and sponsorships from pitch to publication. Working to build relationships with organisations that feel authentic to our voice and relevant to our audience. This is not an existing role with established processes that someone is taking over, we are a hardworking team trying to bring someone in with expertise we don’t have. We aren’t looking for the shiniest CV, but the right person who gets Cheek and wants to help us build something new in the media space.
