Becky suggested a subcontractor for the graphics and would put together a list of people that SMG knows and trusts.
Sarah has a question about subsistence for the travel for those working on the instal for the project - mainly about lunch and travel costs. Which budge line would this come from? Tim replied it could come from T&S, asks Carol to confirm. Sarah will let Carol know when she’s clear about what is needed.
Tim has chatted with Helen Langwick about the contingencies related to the Bradford exhibit, and potentials for fallbacks related the venue incase the rooms are not ready. Alex and Dave will meet later this month, to discuss the second iteration of the exhibit (on 17th august).
Becky thinks the panel text is good. Says there is further work to be done on how the exhibit will look and fitting this panel into the general design. Ayomi shared his screen to show us the plan for how the exhibit could look. Colours and materiality to still be planned. Housing unit to be potentially covered in valchromat. At the moment the design is still being developed. Alex asked about developing the knowledge graph to represent the project - will meet with Becky and Kenny to discuss design. A design meeting series will be set up to discuss materiality, seating, walls and space. Sarah wants to make sure the wall space is designed to be open so the exhibit can be seen right away. When Marivi is back (next week) we will look for the text to be signed off for the design panel. Megan will look at this now, and dates for sign off, before Marivi returns.
Tim is waiting on the final sign-off for Paul’s contract terms and timings, and the sign off process for the films. Those he has contacted have yet to get back to him. Megan is fine with Tim’s email, would like dates in diary. Sarah suggested Dave should be able to confirm the terms of the contract and let Tim know if any of the dates need to be adjusted and whether a week for the sign-off process is enough time.
Tim has emailed Patrick Russell and has been in contact with an appropriate BFI team member about the use of an educational license for footage from their archive to be used in our exhibit film. He will follow up on this conversation.
