BuyCoins (Y Combinator S18) is a cryptocurrency exchange for Africa. We are the only exchange in Nigeria that allows our users to buy and sell a range of cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin) directly with their local bank account or debit card.

At BuyCoins, we believe crypto will be a critical part of the global financial infrastructure. Still, we also recognise that the UX of crypto is very broken today - we want someone who wants to challenge themselves to fix this today for Africans.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help continue our building mission. By joining us, you’ll be part of a fast-growing African startup that sets out to make its mark in the global cryptocurrency space.

Role description

In this role, you will be responsible for designing product features and user experiences across our cryptocurrency products; BuyCoins, Sendcash and Getcards.

You’ll use extensive user research to inform your design process and create unique solutions that make crypto accessible to all Africans.

• A passion for building digital products and delightful user experiences, with case studies to show.
• Great user interface design skills.
• Excellent user research skills.
• Ability to create prototypes with code or without code.
• Good grasp of how to use data to inform decisions.
• Excellent writing, speaking, comprehension and interpersonal skills.
