A Butterfly is a magical sprite. It allows the user to communicate with the Adventurer's Guild as well as other Butterfly users. They are powered by The Queen's magic.

Butterflies generally look like glowing butterflies that can flutter autonomously in the air.
They can function a number of different ways. Some users interact with their butterflies with their voice, and other butterflies can project something analogous to a magical computer screen.
Some butterflies seem to have their own personalities.
Butterflies began appearing less than twenty years ago, soon after the March of Spirits event. It is not known exactly how they came about, but people speculate that it involves contract magic that the Queen performed with supernatural spirits.
