The outpatient Butterfly handheld ultrasounds are set up and ready for use
at DHP and OPD clinics. Below is important info related to using the
handheld ultrasounds:
At DHP: (Butterfly Ultrasound and iPad)
- Currently being kept in Dr. Wofford’s office. Locked black cabinet, 2nd
drawer from the top. Dr. Wofford plans to keep the key in his desk.
- iPad passcode: 8788 (to unlock the iPad – this is the same passcode as
all of the inpatient tablets)
- Click on Butterfly App
- Select the probe/exam type by clicking
on the heart at the bottom left of the tablet that says “Presets”
- Start scanning (nurses should have
ultrasound gel they can get you)
- Make sure probe is cleaned with the
gray top wipes (NOT the bleach wipes that have an orange top) after using it
- If Butterfly App asks for login info:
At OPD (Butterfly Ultrasound and iPad)
- Currently being kept in locked cabinet in nursing area (Melissa, Jenn, or one of
the other nurses can get you the key)
- iPad passcode: 8788 (to unlock the iPad – this is the same passcode as
all of the inpatient tablets)
- Click on Butterfly App
- Select the probe/exam type by clicking
on the heart at the bottom left of the tablet that says “Presets”
- Start scanning (nurses should have
ultrasound gel they can get you)

Please make sure the ultrasound probe and iPad are locked up before leaving
