Role overview

The Business Development Assistant supports New Leaf Fertility Partners in identifying and nurturing partnerships, networking opportunities and relationships that will help New Leaf grow its presence and impact across Africa. The role focuses on local research, outreach and relationship support, helping to build the connections that will allow New Leaf to serve more people in the region.

This is a proactive, relationship-focused role for someone who understands the local private sector landscape or health and development ecosystem. It does not involve clinical responsibilities or client management, but sits at the centre of New Leaf's growth strategy in the region.

Key responsibilities

Local research and prospecting

• Research African fertility communities and develop potential partnerships
• Identify opportunities for New Leaf to collaborate, co-create within the region
• Monitor the local fertility landscape for relevant opportunities

Outreach and proposals

• Support outreach to local organisations, community leaders and businesses
• Help develop proposals and partnership briefs adapted for the African context
• Assist in preparing materials for local meetings and introductions

Relationship tracking

• Maintain records of contacts, meetings and follow-ups
• Help ensure local relationships are nurtured and kept active over time
