🌱 2024 Spring Summit Theme

Welcome! We’re looking forward to creating another wonderful week at Fly Ranch together. The theme guiding our weekend is “Participating in the Parable”. The weekend will be a co-creation with time for both structured and unstructured exploration.

Burners Without Borders Summit at Fly Ranch May 17-19, 2024 Hualapai Flat, Fly Ranch

How do stories shape a landscape? How does land shape a story? A people? A culture? How will knowledge of what has and does exist inform the dream of the future?

Over six years, our community has learned about the land through time, listening to its stories, teaching and histories. Now it’s time to take a more active role in shaping these narratives. What must we discover to become active participants in the story that’s told in the places we are with? How does the language we utilize on top of a landscape move in difference, similarity, alignment or opposition to the language of the landscape itself?

This year's BWB Spring Summit, held at Fly Ranch, will explore the creation of our stories and places. As story shapes landscapes, and landscapes shape story, so do people and other species, shaping each other back & forth. Together, in relationship with a landscape, we will observe and play with our understanding of self through place.

The observed particle behaves differently. Join us as we peer through the veil of time past, present and future and consider choices and circumstances that influence the fabric of society today.
