Introduction

I greatly enjoyed reading Cupid’s Playdate with the EVM but I felt like getting even more hands-on. Let’s try building an EVM interpreter from scratch, using nothing but the yellow paper!

In this part, we’re going to build:

• a basic stack
• a basic memory
• the code buffer
• a few instructions
• an instruction decoder
• a basic fetch-decode-eval loop
