Our goal is to discover Gen Z who share this passion, and to that end, we have established a systematic application procedure that guarantees we only onboard candidates who share our vision. Application Methods (4 alternatives):

1. First Method: Standard Form

   With this method, applicants have the opportunity to submit a simple application by just providing pertinent information on the application form. With this alternative, applicants will have the opportunity to answer and send a form created by the WG in which essential information is asked to complete the general data and a few questions about their interests and evaluate accordingly (alternative used during the Season 2 and 3).

2. Second Method: Standard Form + Identity verification

   With this method, applicants complete the standard application form with the necessary information requested about themselves, their interest in joining Dream DAO and learning about web3. Additionally, it is important to verify the identity of the applicant. In the past, situations have arisen where individuals who did not meet the age requirements applied anyway. To ensure the safety of our community, it is relevant to prevent this. Therefore, a valid form of identification, such as a driver's license, background check, identity card, or clear photograph must be submitted as an additional mandatory form apart from the standard one.

3. Third Method: Standard Form + Video Submission

   A good way to select new builders, in addition to using the standard application form, is to add a section for uploading a video link submitted on YouTube, Google Drive, or any other platform/social media, bonus points if it is open to the public in social media (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, etc). An important note is to clarify that applicants must allow access to the video to be watched in case they are private.

   This brief video (1- 3 minutes long) should explain the applicant's interest in Dream DAO and the reasons for their decision to join the web3 ecosystem, how have been their experience in social impact or extracurricular activities. If there is something in particular that think would take advantage of Dream DAO, should mention it as well, for instance: I want to join Dream DAO because I would like to start my professional journey in web3 with the Explorers program.

4. Fourth Method: Standard Form + Dream DAO Open Week → Mini-interview

   This method have 3 different phases:

   • First phase (Standard form): As expected, the form consists of standard fields that request necessary information about candidates. Additionally, candidates are required to submit a short video of 30 seconds to 1 minute in length, explaining why they would like to join Dream DAO and to help the organization get to know them better (in terms of their personality).
   • Second phase (Dream DAO Open Week): During this immersive phase, candidates will have the chance to interact with the community and culture of Dream DAO. This is a smaller version of the bootcamp, which serves as both a screening procedure and an educational opportunity. The session will last no longer than 1.5 hours and will be divided into breakout rooms to better analyze the performance of each candidate, this will be achieved through presenting cases that they will need to resolve in teams and a Learning Together Session with Champions & Builders.
   • Mini-Interview (15 minutes long): There will be an interview if we decide to select fewer individuals than anticipated for the second round or include it in the comprehensive application. Their goals, comprehension of web3, and possible contributions to Dream DAO will all be covered in further detail throughout this conversation.

Selection Committee

Dream DAO will form a Selection Committee to guarantee openness and diversity in the selection process. The composition of this committee will be as follows:

• DAO Council's Role: The application process will be supervised by the DAO Council in the first instance.
• Selection Panel: The DAO council will choose a specific number of champions and builders to form a panel. The exact number is undefined since we don't know how many official builders will be accepting, so it may vary. The selected group will be responsible for reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and deciding which applicants to onboard.

Procedures:

The Governance Working Group will open applications to select both builders and champions in an 8:2 ratio (It may change). Eligible candidates for the selection committee include:

• For Builders:
  • Empathy, good communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Previous experience in selection processes or human resources in the past seasons of Dream DAO or other external projects/volunteering.
  • Active participation in the last season through bounties, weekly meetings, or any activities hosted by Dream DAO in the Discord channel/Zoom/Butter.
  • Attendance in one of the Learning Together sessions over the past weeks.

  • Attendance in one Learning Together session during the last season.
  • Participation in the mentorship program.
  • Hosted a Learning Together Session in the past.
