Overview

Budgie is a personal finance app designed to help you track transactions, budgets, accounts, receipts, widgets, and financial insights. Budgie is built to keep your financial data private.

Budgie does not operate its own server for storing your transactions, budgets, receipts, accounts, or financial history.

Data We Store

Budgie may store the following data on your device:

• Transactions you add, including amount, date, type, category, account, notes, and bookmarks
• Categories, budgets, accounts, salary day, currency, appearance settings, and app preferences
• Receipt photos you attach to transactions
• Backup files you create or restore
• Subscription status for Budgie Plus

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your Budgie data is stored locally on your device.

If you use manual backup export, the backup file is saved wherever you choose, such as Files or iCloud Drive.

If you use Budgie Plus iCloud Backup, Budgie saves a backup file to your private iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud system. Budgie does not receive or store that backup on its own servers.

Receipt Photos

Receipt photos are stored on your device and may be included in Budgie backup files or iCloud backups if you use those features.

Budgie does not upload receipt photos to Budgie-owned servers.
