Do I need to connect my bank account? No. Budget Unbound is fully manual by design. We believe hands-on tracking builds better financial habits and keeps you aware of every expense.
Can I just track expenses without a budget? Yes! Choose "Just Track Expenses" when you start. You can create a budget later whenever you're ready.
What is Expense Itemization? Unlike other apps that only track totals, Budget Unbound lets you break down each expense into individual items. Track exactly what you bought, not just where you shopped.
How does Receipt Breakdown work? When you have a receipt with multiple categories (like a Costco run with groceries, household items, and fuel), use Receipt Breakdown to split it all in one screen. You can even attach a photo and mark items as you log them (receipt photo is supported on Android only for now).
What are Money Vaults? Money Vaults are savings goals linked to your budget categories. Any leftover money at the end of your budget period automatically transfers to your vault - perfect for saving toward vacations, emergency funds, or big purchases.
How does Family Sync work? Family Sync lets you share your budget with a partner across iOS and Android. Both of you work on the same data in real-time. Requires Gold subscription.
