Dear Practice Group Members:

What a great pleasure to begin our work together! I don't take for granted your taking the time to participate and for making time to begin practicing in the coming week.

You can think of your commitment to practice as making an investment in cultivating your inner condition, so that the action that you take in the world is more intentional and effective. This will make a positive difference for you and for the people in your life.

Homework for this week:

• Do a body awareness exercise 4x between now and next week’s session.
• Reflect on:
• As you begin your practice, say that sentence to yourself as a reminder of what makes your practice important.
• Journal about your experience having begun to practice. Please reflect on the following questions and make some notes to yourself at least 3 times over the course of the week.
