1. Overview BioCharge ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application uses your Health data.
2. Apple HealthKit Data BioCharge integrates with Apple’s HealthKit to provide recovery and energy insights.
- What we read: We read Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Resting Heart Rate, Sleep Analysis, Active Energy, Steps, Respiratory Rate, and Oxygen Saturation.
- How we use it: This data is used solely to calculate your Recovery Score, Body Battery, and Sleep/Exertion metrics within the app.
- Storage: All health data processing happens locally on your device. We do not upload your health data to any external servers for analysis, nor do we sell it to third parties.
3. App Analytics We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous data regarding purchase history (e.g., if you have an active Pro subscription), but they do not have access to your HealthKit data.
4. AI and Third-Party Data Processing
BioCharge uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized health insights and coaching advice.
- Service Provider: We utilize the OpenAI API (GPT models) to generate daily insights based on your biometric data.
- Data Shared: To generate these insights, the app sends anonymized numerical data to OpenAI, including your Recovery Score, Sleep duration, Daily Exertion, and Heart Rate Variability (HRV).
- Privacy Protection:
- No Personal Identity: We do not send your name, location, or any personally identifiable information (PII) to OpenAI. The data is strictly numerical.
- No Training: According to OpenAI's API data usage policies, the data sent via their API is not used to train their models.
- Transient Processing: The data is processed instantaneously to generate the response and is not permanently stored by our AI provider.
