On Bindr you can have study sessions with other learners from home. Usually there are 5-15 people in a session - everyone is focusing on their own work, with mics off and cameras on. Seeing others working and knowing that they can see you as well makes you feel accountable and boosts your productivity.
Students join these sessions from all around the world. Meeting new people and supporting each other to reach your goals makes you feel belong in our community.
Bindr is created by Balint (the Product boss), Marton (the Community builder) and Andras (the Magic developer). We are recent greduates so we know how hard it is to study alone from home. We are here to help you stay motivated and meet people from all around the world while studying from home.
Any learner in the world. On Bindr university students, secondary students and lifelong learners can find partners and groups to study with and have the opportunity to meet interesting people from all around the world.
Yes! On Bindr safety is our top priority, we take several measures to keep every session a safe and productive space:
Community Guideline
When joining your first study session, you accept the terms of our Community Guideline. Our rules and guideline make sure you have a safe study environment and every other member of our platform respects you. After all, you are here to support each other.
Moderation
Our team works hard to only enable people join sessions who are here for the same purpose as you - to study in a great community. As you might have seen, one of our team members (most of the times Balint or Marton) joins every session to make sure there is no inappropriate behaviour.
When you create a session, you have control over the study session. If you experience any inappropriate behaviour you are allowed to remove that person.
Report people
If anytime you notice inappropriate behaviour you can report the person from the profile page or write an email to [email protected]. We take every report very seriously, it goes straight to the founders' primary inbox so we can act on it immediately.
Study with familiar faces (coming soon)
Soon you will be able to add students as your friends. Once you add them, you will see which sessions they joined. You will also be able to create sessions that can only be joined by your friends and their friends.
Look after yourself
If you ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave our platform and take care of yourself first.
Report the offending member
Please report any bad behaviour you experience to [email protected] or from the person's profile page by clicking the Flag button. Reporting bad behaviour allows us to take action against the offender immediately.
