Step 1: Server Setup

Set up server, linux OS is required, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS or 22.04 LTS is recommended. Ubuntu 23.10 will work but requires extra steps, primarily because it does not allow Geth to be installed directly. Geth is the easiest method to generate an operator key.

Step 2: Provide Operator Addresses

Once the nodes are set up, share the Operator Addresses for tBTC and TACo via Telegram.

Step 3: Provide Staking Provider and ETH Payment Address

Please provide an Ethereum address to receive a delegation of T from the DAO. The DAO will then configure the stake mapping transactions based on this address. This address can also be used to receive monthly compensation payments. Please post this address publicly on the forum.

Step 4: Fund Operator Addresses

Fund Operator address with ETH for tBTC. TACo only requires MATIC.

Step 5: Map Operator Address to Stake

Map operator addresses to Staking Provider address using Etherscan (the dashboard does not support this functionality at this point). This action must (and can only) be performed by the Staking Provider address.

<aside> ⚠️ Operator addresses can only be mapped once, meaning it cannot be changed. Extra care should be taken to verify the correct operator address is mapped to the correct application.
