Goals for Social Promotion:

  1. Inform your broader audience of the watch party
  2. Lower the barrier of entry for new Playback (Beta) users

Timeline:

  1. Share your room link with a clear caption of time/date for the watch party. Do this 24+ hours ahead of time
  2. Re-share the link to your room 1 hour before the event start
  3. Occasionally follow up with tweets reminding people you are live (QT yourself with excitement)
  4. Utilize the tweet thread to share info and other promotional materials as needed

Messaging:

  1. Describe the sign up process
    1. Input email, create user name, authenticate cable provider/streaming service
      1. Stress 3 easy steps. Takes less than 2 mins etc.
    2. Use language which makes it seem easy.
      1. You will lose people who will incorrectly think signing up is difficult.
    3. Encourage users to download the iOS app on Test Flight (Android coming soon!)

    2. Note chat functionality and ability to ask questions/converse.
